caftan, kaftan (KAF-tan) - full-length garment of ancient Mesopotamian origin[ a long garment having long sleeves, often cinched or tied at the waist, worn under a coat in the Middle East and Central Asia

Cairo (KYE-ro) - capitol and largest city in Egypt

Officially al-Q?hirah, 'the conqueror' - Egyptian Arabic

Casablanca (KAH-suh-BLAHNG-kuh) - a fabled Atlantic port and largest city in Morocco and the entire Maghreb

originally called Anfa in Berber, 'hill', which is still used to reference the old quarters of the city - Spanish

casbah, kasbah (KAZ-buh) - the older, native Arab quarter of a North African city, especially Algiers
