large graduating vintage intarsia beads inlaid with malachite coral and brass, from Tibet circa 1958; handmade thread-wrapped beads, cord and button clasp

A more contemporary necklace collected by a British officer in 1958, supposedly among pieces traded for his wedding rings in Aberdeen, Scotland a few years later. I found it among other pieces at an antique shop in Dundee in 1985.

A spectacular statement piece with a long and amazing history in excellent condition showing very little wear.
